Amazon Prime Access with EBT
If you receive SNAP, you may be able to join Amazon Prime Access and pay a lower monthly Prime price. The membership fee itself is not paid with your EBT card. Amazon decides who qualifies.

What Amazon says the price is
Amazon's Prime Access page says eligible government assistance recipients and income-verified customers can get Prime for $6.99 a month, shown next to the $14.99 standard monthly price. Amazon's membership-fee help page lists standard Prime at $14.99 a month or $139 a year, and says EBT, Medicaid, SNAP, and other assistance can qualify for a discount. Confirm the price on Amazon before you subscribe. BenefitBoost does not set it.
How SNAP verification works
Amazon's help page for signing up says SNAP verification means entering the SNAP EBT number and uploading a photo of the EBT card. The image should be readable and show the beneficiary's name and an issue date within the last 12 months or a valid expiration date. That upload happens on Amazon's site (Amazon also describes a SheerID step for some income checks). Do not upload the card or type the card number on BenefitBoost.
Amazon says you reverify about every 12 months to keep the discount, and that some document checks can take up to seven business days. Other qualifying programs on Amazon's list include Medicaid, WIC, SSI, TANF, and federal housing assistance. WIC and SSI are not the same as SNAP, but Amazon lists them separately.
What EBT can and cannot pay
Amazon's EBT help page says an EBT card cannot be used to pay for a Prime membership. You need another payment method for the membership fee.
You do not need Prime to buy SNAP-eligible groceries on Amazon. Amazon's newsroom says SNAP EBT can be used on Amazon.com nationwide, and at Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods Market where those services exist. At checkout you choose the EBT card and enter the PIN on Amazon's payment screen. SNAP does not pay shipping fees, delivery fees, or tips. Those need another form of payment.
